The NextGen Patient Portal is a consumer-oriented healthcare Web site that provides you with a fast, reliable, and easy-to-use method of communicating with your medical service provider. With NextGen Patient Portal, you can connect with your doctor through a convenient, safe, and secure environment in order to:


Ø  Request, book and/or cancel appointments

Ø  Receive and review documents

Ø  View online statements

Ø  Make online payments

Ø  Request medication renewals

Ø  Send and receive secure messages to and from your provider

Ø  Complete, submit and review online forms

Ø  Complete, submit and view Instant Medical History forms

Ø  Request Personal Health Records (PHRs)

Ø  Update account information

Ø  Sign up with multiple practices


User Information


Parents may add children up to the age of 17.

 
At 18, the patient must complete their own enrollment, and access will only be given to the parent under the child’s written authorization.

 
Spouses, guarantors, and caregivers must have written authorization from the patient or legal proof of guardianship, proxy, or other in order to access patient information.


Varying levels of access can be granted including the ability to view/schedule:
 

Ø  Appointments

Ø  Documents

Ø  Statements

Ø  Medications

Ø  Messages

Ø  Online Forms

Ø  Interactive Medical Forms
 

Individuals may wish for parents, spouses, or others to only have certain/restricted access privledges.


Only appointments which have been scheduled through the Patient Portal may be viewed through the Patient Portal.
 

Users may choose to receive electronic statements through the portal, once they have made an electronic payment using NextMD. Patients can opt to receive both paper and electronic statements, or electronic statements only.
 

The Token that is given to the user upon enrollment must be used within 72 hours or it will expire, and another token will be required to complete enrollment.

 
The email address provided at signup time is the address that must be used to access the Patient Portal during enrollment.

 
When signing up dependents, parents will receive an email for EACH person/child enrolled. It is critical that only the email which contains the name of the primary user of the account (parent) is used for enrollment purposes.


It is highly recommended that the email address used for sign up is also used as patient log in name for the Portal.
 

NextMD is accessible from smart phones and tablets, as well as laptops and PCs.
